Advice On Resources And Books To Use Use In My Study Guide [#permalink] New post   25 Jun 2010, 10:20
Dear All,

I know that you have already put much effort on book reviews. However, I appreciate your advise regarding the resources that you recommend for building up the basics and for additional practice exercises in order to ensure a safe 700+.
My main concern is that most of these resources are pretty much old and I am not sure whether I should go for newer releases or the ones already available with me are sufficient.

The tests might be a bit outdated, and I'd definitely recommend getting the MGMAT Number Properties 4th Edition book which'll give you access to 6 new CATs and you have the GMAT Prep software from mba.com, and maybe a free practice test from each test prep company. I am a bit worried 'cos these are 5 years old and that might be a bit too old.

If you can afford to get the new set of books, do it. And definitely do all the problems from the OG12/OG Quant/OG Verbal. And get a few new tests 'cos it's always better to stay on track. Hope this helps.

Username123, do you have any idea regarding the changes / enhances in Manhattan's latest editions? In other words, are the 2005 editions as good as the latest?

I have used just one book of MGMAT that is MGMAT SC , the newer 4th edition is better than the old. It also gives you free access to 6 Mgmat CAT's. So you must buy this.

Another option is to buy number properties by MGMAT.

Buying any of the MGMAT book will provide you 6 tests.
