Hi everyone,
I had a question regarding which classes to take for building an alternative transcript. In college I received an A in both macro and microeconomics, a B in Statistics, and I took AP Calculus in high school and scored a 5 on the exam, so I tested out and did not take any calculus courses in college. I only took two finance courses: Intro to Finance (got a C) and International Finance (got an A-). I majored in Accounting for undergrad and also received my Masters in Accounting. My undergrad accounting grades varied from A's to C's. Undergrad GPA: 3.4, Grad GPA: 3.25 (I had already secured a job, so I was more focused on passing my CPA before starting work)
I am not sure what classes I should take. I would like to take 2 classes over the summer through the UCLA Extension program. Does anyone have any advice regarding which classes would be most helpful. I went through the course catalog, I think the following would be most helpful:
1. Mathematics for Management
2. Business Application of Statistics
3. Business Application of Calculus
Would these be good courses to take? If anyone has any other classes they have done, it'd be great to hear.
Has anyone taken these classes? If so, what was the time commitment and difficulty level? Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!
