Alternative Transcript: In person vs. Online

I am at the beginning stages of preparing to apply for MBA programs. I come from a "non-traditional"/humanities background and know that I need to take a few quantitative courses to not only strengthen my knowledge, but also to strengthen my admissions profile. I have looked at a lot of the posts on this forum about creating an alternative transcript but have yet to a specific answer to the following:
In the eyes of the admissions committee, is there any difference in taking a course in person vs. online? In person classes will be difficult to work into a schedule given that I am working full time so I was leaning towards a few courses with the UCLA Extension program. But, if there is a true difference in terms of helping an application, then I have no choice but to make in class courses work with my schedule.
Any insight you have regarding, specifically, in person vs online courses would be great. I have reached out to a few admissions offices but have yet to hear back (possibly because of winter break?) Thanks!
