At a certain diner, a hamburger (H) and coleslaw (C) cost \$3.59, and a hamburger and french fries (F) cost \$4.40. If french fries cost twice as much as coleslaw, how much do french fries cost?
(A) \$0.30
(B) \$0.45
(C) \$0.60
(D) \$0.75
(E) \$0.90

here is my way.

H+C=3.59
H+F=4.40
F=2C

then i have two equation:
H+C=3.59
H+2C=4.40

which is solved like:
H=3.59-C
3.59-C+2C=4.40
C=0.81

but multiplying 0.81 by 2 gives us 1.62, which is not stated among choices. this time, am i wrong or our chinese friends from down3.net are?
