In the past <50% of accepted Duke applicants actually matriculated. Does anyone suppose that percentage will be higher this year because of the increased competition?

I was hoping the suspense would end today, but alas no resolution.

From the people I have spoken with, Duke is their #2 (all money being equal of course) so if you show that you are still very interested on the waitlist then you will probably have a great shot. I would assume that most students who applied to a lot of R1 schools will end up enrolling where they get accepted.

How many days does Duke take to let applicants know whether their file is complete etc..
Submitted my application on 1/3 but still havent heard a word on status of application..
may be the R1s can throw some light on this?
Thanks

It takes a while although I don't remember how long. If you go backwards into this thread, I'm sure you can figure it out.

Hey, R2-ers. Post when you're coming into town for interviews. I do a lot with the campus visit program: check ins, class visits, and some lounge hosting.

Chances are good you'll see me. It's up to you whether you out yourself as a gmat-clubber.

no, i believe the package was sent out the same day we found out about our decisions. The letter in the package was identical to that found on-line. It stated that the recepients of the merit award will be notified in a week.

Just got a call from a Duke 2Y welcoming me (I think this is always a nice touch).

Blue Devil Weekend is March 28-31. She also said the admit pkg was coming in 2-3 weeks...so either there are two separate packages or she was mistaken.

Just checked the mail and haven't gotten my packet yet. Anything in it besides the letter, nervous?
