C

1--> average salary= A = M+5000, where M=average salart of managers

insuff

2--> average salary= A = D-15000, where D=average salary of directors

insuff

together--> M+5000=D-15000 --> D-M=20,000

two ways

the short way:

Num_D/Num_M= 1/(15000/5000)= 1/3 --> 1/4 are directors and 3/4 are managers

=> suff

the long way:

(num_m*m + num_D*(20000+m))/(num_m+num_D)=m+5000

=>num_m*m + num_d*20000+num_d*m = num_m*m+mun_m*5000+num_d*m+num_d*5000

=> num_d*20000 = num_m*5000+num_d*5000

=> 15000*Num_d = 5000* num_m

=> num_D/num_m=5000/15000=1/3 --> 1/4 are directors and 3/4 are managers

=> suff
