Hi folks,
Thought I'd ask. Anyone know of any good websites that have cheap flights to India from the US? I know of http://www.kayak.com and http://www.makemytrip.combut was wondering if folks had other suggestions.
Thanks!

Specifically for India, you may want to check this site: http://www.globetravels.com/bestdeal.jsp; it is a travel agency.

They advertise India tickets a lot but I am not sure that they will be able to get a great deal.
I find Kayak great for searching and sorting, but I also try to check Expedia from time to time; sometimes they have greater variety.

I am a part of the FlyerTalk community, so i will keep an eye on a good fare to India for ya. Here is a recent one that was discussed week ago - $497 with taxes and fees:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage- ... 497-i.html

Almost forgot to mention - there is an India to US sale on Lufthansa; $2-3K for Business Class Roundtrip. This is a fantastic fare for business class, but it works only from India.

http://cleartrip.com - The UI is very similar to that of Kayak.

Lufthansa has some good offers - but I don't recommend the airline. If you are flying to Mumbai or Delhi - plenty of deals right now with ticket prices hovering in the 1200-1400$ range. If you are planning to fly after June-July, prices will be even cheaper. My cousin found a NYC-BOM deal for 670$!!!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give them a try. I'm planning a ten day trip in early June to delhi. I'm finding prices to be around 1100, after taxes and such. I'm trying to see if I can find something around 850-900, pre tax.
Thanks again!

Strangely I got a super cheap ticket to Tel Aviv from JFK on Travelocity. It was $780 total (which included the taxes)......the closest thing on Kayak and Sidestep was about $950.

yatra - http://www.yatra.com/international/US/index.html

Try kuwait airways, they are cheap and nice. Not sure if they fly delhi, but they do fly mumbai from DC.

Isa - try travel agents. They might work out to be cheaper compared to websites. Also - flying out of New York will reduce your prices.

If interested, I could PM you a list of travel agents sometime today evening. some of the numbers maybe outdated but most of them still work.

Thanks for the offer! I do have a couple of travel agents I've tried - they're all getting me tickets in the 1300-range. I think the websites are cheaper :) I'm going to try and fly out of DC only - traveling out of NYC would mean taking time off for work + paying to get there + dealing with the monstrosity that is JFK. The extra $100-200 out of DC is totally worth it to avoid that!

Thanks for the suggestions!!
