Hi All,
I have around 14 years of experience working in the IT industry. Off late, I seem to have hit the ceiling in terms of career growth at the current organization and also in terms of getting calls from outside. While I do not have any intention to get into team leading, etc, the only way I see progress is by learning something new in terms of technology constantly. While I have been learning new technical stuff regularly, I'll admit that it is getting very difficult to maintain the same pace of learning that was there say 5 years back.
Now, the reason I am thinking of an MBA is thinking it would help me in terms of career advancement and provide me better job opportunities. Also, in terms of learning, I'll again be ready to learn new things, but I assume things would not keep changing like every 2 years (like it does in the technology field)
Also, I have a keen interest in the finance domain, which is what I am thinking of.
Please guide me if doing an executive MBA at this stage would help me grow. Is there any way by which my software development experience can be useful in any way ? Also, what are the best options to do the same in India and how difficult it is to get into some of the best colleges.
Thanks
