Hey everyone,
I am currently applying for B-schools. I searched around but could not find anything. I am new to this and I have read the 'newbies section' and the FAQs.
For St. Johns Tobin, and Pace's B-school their essay requirement is very vague. They asked:
"The Statement of Professional Goals provides you with an opportunity to discuss the talents, experiences and goals that qualify you for acceptance for graduate study at The Tobin College. In preparing your statement, please realize that the Graduate Admission Committee is seeking evidence of your qualifications and aptitude, as well as your ability to communicate clearly and professionally. You should incorporate the following in your statement:
• YOUR PERSONAL BACKGROUND
• YOUR ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
• YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE
• YOUR REASON FOR PURSUING GRADUATE STUDY AT ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY
• YOUR FUTURE CAREER GOALS
• OTHER INFORMATION THAT MAY BE OF SPECIAL INTEREST AND IMPORTANCE TO THE GRADUATE ADMISSION COMMITTEE
The Statement of Professional Goals should be double-spaced and typewritten. Please be sure to include your name and social security number (if applicable) on all additional sheets submitted. Please put your name and date the bottom of your statement."
So my question is where do I start? or how do I start? I was a Biology major in college so I am used to writing lab reports and such. Can anyone advise my next step. Thank you for your time and help!
