This is a reminder to myself first and then to the community. I know it is a stressful time for a lot of the members, but let us all make every effort to address a question in the most positive way we can. Let us encourage participation as much as we can.

It is not always possible to know what is important to someone. It is also not always possible to know if what we say will offend someone.

A simple rule of thumb is to avoid posting in a thread if we cannot contribute to the discussion and lead it forward. We have nothing against jokes and a little fun.

On the other hand, if someone else's response offends you, resist the urge to shoot back out of respect for other readers. Let the moderators or myself know.

Lately I find myself doing a lot of both. Although most of it is offline.
