Re: Fuqua vs. Darden [#permalink]
I am only capable of providing an answer #2
I'd say Darden has, relatively speaking, a much stronger "finance" program. I'm basing this on finance classes available, placement in IM and IB, and the 4 student-run portfolios.

To answer #3, you really need to do some homework on this. Talk to students and alumni. People's perceptions and experiences can vary. For instance, kidderek liked NYU much more so than Columbia. I have the exact opposite experience.

Yes and no. I didn't necessarily dislike CBS. I never visited, so I guess it's unfair for me to compare. But I did/do love Stern a lot.

Since Darden & Fuqua are at about the same level, it really has more to do with how you fit with the program. And in that case, only you can answer that question.

What does the case method per se have to do with the school culture? Both Charlottesville and Durham are very different college towns - one might appeal more to you than the other. Think about where you'd be happier - you will spend two years of your life there.

"Reputation" wise both schools are very similar, and have equally strong placements in finance. Surely those can't be the only reasons you're interested in either school however?

Compare their programs offerings:

Fuqua's got more options -- check this list:

https://www.topgradprograms.com/gradscho ... ss-89.html

compare that to Darden, which is rated more highly

https://www.topgradprograms.com/gradscho ... ss-90.html

"The school is known for its particular strength in General Management, and it is regularly ranked by Business Week, the Economist Intelligence Unit, Forbes, US News and World Report and other sources as a top business school in the world."

How about the placement for the two schools in MC?
I feel that Darden has a stronger reputation, anyone can comment on this?
