gmatclub estimator is based on a no. of tests..i just want various combinations for 700!
if i know that i need mere 2 points increase for eg,.n' i'll reach to 700 its a big morale booster..i mean..TWO pts can be achieved right??

The GMATclub estimator is based on one test, two tests, three, etc. It's all based on the original algorithm + user input

That being said:

Between my two attempts at the GMAT, I increased 7 points on verbal and 6 points on quant (100 point overall increase on the GMAT score)

It is entirely possible.

This is different from the GMAT Score Estimator gmat club has. (this is more of a lookup table based on people's scores). The two have a different purpose.

I found 800score's calculator to be fairly correct most of the time.

Does anyone tried 800score.com's estimator with a 51 quant :D It gives very comic results :D
e.g. 50q40v=750, 51q40v=300 :D

Re: GMAT Score calculator [#permalink]
Hello everyone,

I Hope someone can answer my question regarding the gmat scoring. I understand the test is scaled (37 verbal scaled score = 80th percentile in verbal section) and that there are 41 verbal questions out of a scaled score of 51 on verbal. So could someone tell me how many I would have to get correct out of 41 to get a scaled score of 37/80th percentile in verbal?

Scaled Score Percentile # of correct responses?
46-51 99 x /41
45 98 x /41
44 97 x /41
42 95 x /41
41 92 x /41
40 87 x /41
38 83 x /41
37 80 x /41

Re: GMAT Score calculator [#permalink]
Hey guys,

I apologize for not being able to space out the table. To make it easier on the eyes,
across the top it reads

scaled score - 37 scaled score /51

percentile - i am interested in 80th percentile

number of correct responses X/41
