C

S1) try using (x,y,z) = (1,1,3/2) and (2,2,2) - INSUFF

S2) try using (1,1,-4) and (2,2,2) - INSUFF

Both S1&S2 - (2,2,2)

SUFF

1) x^2+y^2>z^2

(x^2+y^2)^2>z^4

x^4 +2x^2y^2 +y^2 >z^4

Insuff

2) doesnt tell us anything

IMO answer is E. I tried pluggin in numbers

From (1) choose x=4, y=3, z=2 such that x^2 + y^2 > z^2
In this case x^4+y^4 > z^4
Choose x=-1, y=-2 and z=-3 such that x^2+y^2 > z^2
In this case x^4+y^4 < z^4. INSUFF
From (2) choose x=4, y=3, z=2 such that x^2 + y^2 > z^2
In this case x^4+y^4 > z^4
Choose x=2, y=-4 and z=-3
In this case x^4+y^4 < z^4. INSUFF

Hence E.
