Re: HEC Candidate Profile - Mandatory? [#permalink]

Hello,

I was wondering whether the HEC Candidate Profile's completion was mandatory in order to be considered for admission. I believe I have a strong profile but have only recently become interesting in this program and would like to skip the candidate profile as I intend to apply regardless of the direction given.

Does anyone know if it is indeed mandatory? I'd like to meet the Feb 8th deadline. Thanks in advance

I'd certainly prefer to do it, but after reading several posters' stories through this forum I notice that sometimes the reply isn't as prompt as noted in the 2-3 week turnaround claim. I've been told that its fairly important to submit an application by the February 8th deadline for the September cycle, and I wouldn't want a delay in the candidate profile response to prohibit that.

I understand this is fairly late in the admission cycle to be applying but I've only recently become interested in the program.

Ahhh, I didn't realize I could submit an application if a candidate profile was outstanding. If I can, I will certainly complete both, and hold on the submission of the application until I hear back from the AdCom if that happens before the Feb 8th date.
Thanks for your help Traveler

no problem! i believe you're allowed to submit both independently, and that the evaluation is recommended but not required. I hope they get back to you quickly! I'm at the last stage of the process, waiting on the decision tmrw!

Best of luck tomorrow. I read that you were one of the first to receive an interview invitation in the official Sept '11 thread, so that must bode well for you. In hindsight I wish I'd looked into this program sooner as it seems to suit me quite well. Perhaps I'll get lucky and get in this late in the cycle.
