I believe also that HEC encourage the entrepreneurs... U can have a dedicated project to your own business during the second part of the programme. That means a lot of help on creating your Buisness Plan, on what to do and when.... etc :)

I start to like almost every B-school I research these days :? :P Almost every B-school seems like it a lot that I could benefit from. I think I am not focused. I have now hired an admission consultant - seems like some professional advice is what I need to get more decisive about which schools to apply to :) .

Hey FIG, I guess by now you must already be very busy with school.
i have been reading the posts recently and am motivated by reading this thread.
It must be a great feeling to get into your dream school.
Similar to vikramjit, I also have this strange problem that I start liking the school looking at the website.
I am completely confused how to go about reasearching.
I have done a basic analysis about myself and my profile but am not clear how should I proceed.

Can any please share their experiences and how you came over these ?

Vikramjit, can you please PM on the details of consultant you joined and your exp regarding the same ?
thanks

I still have some months ahead... I will be at HEC in January 08 :)

Concerning your selection of B schools, I can imagine that it's hard.... I think that it's really a question of personnal interests, personality and possibility :).... For the latter one, I believe it's something that everyone could create with perceverance, time as long as energy and a focussed approach :)

Good luck guys ! :)

I am using Jamboree. Their GMAT prep classes were good but unfortunately their admissions consulting service has not been a great experience so far. I have shortlisted schools myself without any help from them. I asked them for help on building my Resume but haven't heard back in a week. They also charged me extra becasue I plan to apply to the Top 30 schools but now they are recommending schoools outside the Top 30 for me. I think this means they don't have much experience dealing with the top schools. In case you haven't enrolled in any such service yet then you should take a look at Veritas-CareerLauncher. Any CareerLauncher center should be able to help you. Their prices are similar to Jamboree's and services are far superior. Unfortunately for me, I am stuck with Jamboree and if I don't get any help from them soon I'll be asking for my money back.

6 years experience outside of France... very interesting Fig. :)
I think your GMAT score would have been 780-800 if they had an option to take the GMAT in French as I think IESE has to take it in Spanish.

Nothing yet Fig :?
I made some recent changes to the schools I am applying to and I'll submit Cornell and Vanderbilt applications tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted on how I fare :)
I know I'll get through. I just don't like the wait.
