How do ad-coms verify the ECs listed in applications?

Hey everyone.
As the title suggests, I am looking for some clarity on whether proof of Extra-Curricular and co-curricular activities that one may have participated in college is to be proved with certificates.
During my undergrad degree, I had been involved with several activities (Clubs, NGOs) that I would like to list in my application. The problem is that I have no certificate/letter to prove it. One college chapter that I was a part of has provided me with certificates in lieu of my participation in their events and acknowledged my activity with certificates. However, for the other two clubs that I was a member of, I wasn't provided with any certificate that proves my active involvement. It's also worth mentioning that I'm unable to find a few certificates that I received from the chapter that actually provided certificates, probably misplaced them.
Will the adcoms ask for such proof?
If I list out these activities in my application but don't include any kind of certificates, will the adcom accept it?
Is there any other way I could provide proof of my achievements?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
