Given: 6x + 5 = 4x + 3
Subtract 4x from both sides: 2x + 5 = 3
Subtract 5 from both sides: 2x = -2
Divide both sides by 2 to get: x = -1

Answer: C

\(6x + 5 = 4x + 3\)
\(6x-4x=3-5\)
\(2x=-2\)
\(x=-1\)
