Let x = 1

So, y = 4 and z = 2

Thus, x + y + z = 7, which is nothing but 7x , the answer must be (C)

Let \(x = 3, y = 12,\) and \(z = 6\)
\((y+z)=(12+6)=18=6x\)

Let \(x = 2, y = 8,\) and \(z = 4\)
\((y+z)=(8+4)=12=6x\)

Given ,

y = 4x

z =\(\frac{1}{2}\) * 4x

z = 2x


Question :

y + z = 4x + 2x = 6x .

Thus the best answer is B.

Since y = 4x and z = ½y, then y = 2z. So 2z = 4x and z = 2x.

\(y = 4x\) .....(1)
\(z = \frac{1}{2} y\).....(2)
putting (1) into (2), we get
\(z = \frac{1}{2}*4x\)
\(z = 2x\)

then \(y+z =4x + 2x = 6x\)
