Besides HSW, I believe Kellogg is very good for consulting.

mindy

IMHO, H/S/W, Insead, Tuck, Kellogg, LBS.
I guess Chicago and Columbia get more IB than consulting.

Surely, H/S/W. In addition Kellogg, Chicago and MIT are also good.

In Europe I think LBS/Insead/IMD(?)

It's not as big a feeder as Kellogg, but its still a big feeder.

Check it out (# of hires)

McKinsey & Company, Inc. 29 5.9%
Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. 12 2.5%
The Boston Consulting Group 11 2.3%
Accenture 7 1.4%
Bain & Company, Inc. 7 1.4%
ZS Associates Inc. 7 1.4%

I think McKinsey has over 100 recruits from INSEAD alone from 2005 (or 2004?) employment stats. It is definitely a powerhouse for MC, by far better than LBS for that field.

Paul, while I would not doubt INSEAD's strenghts, I read somewhere that some of those MC recruits are actually former MC employees who rejoin their employers after getting their MBAs. Some may be sponsored, as well. Have you heard this?

Thanks. L.

Fully agree. They do publish those numbers on their employment stats and although I do not have the exact breakdown, I know it's a sizable percentage. Nonetheless, INSEAD as a whole is still a remarkable place to be at for that industry. In absolute numbers, the new hires are a good bunch.
