percent increase of wheat $$\frac{28.5-25}{25}*100$$=14%
percent increase of rice $$\frac{41-40}{40}*100$$=2.5%
14%-2.5%=11.5%

% Increase (Wheat - Rice) = ?
Wheat: 28.50/25-1… 3.5/25…35/250…7/50
Rice: 41/40-1… 1/40
% Increase (Wheat - Rice) = 7/50-1/40 = 280-50/2000 = 230/2000 = 11.5/100 = 11.5

The percent increase in the price of wheat is:

(28.5 - 25)/25 x 100 = 14

The percent increase in the price of rice is:

(41 - 40)/40 x 100 = 2.5

Therefore, the percent increase in the price of wheat was 14 - 2.5 = 11.5 percentage points greater than the percent increase in the value of rice.
