Los Angeles business schools for engineering management

Hello all,
I am a mechanical engineer (5 yrs experience) currently working in the nuclear medicine field and looking to go into engineering management, with a long-term goal of pursuing international management in the aerospace industry (particularly Boeing). I am applying to the UCLA and USC part-time MBAs, both of which have the great international GAP and Globe programs, but am also considering a few of the CSU schools (Northridge and Long Beach) as safety schools, but also since they're a lot cheaper. I've heard about the importance of getting into a ranked school, but they are indeed quite expensive and its not like I'm switching completely to business and planning to work on wall street here. I'm wondering, are the top programs really worth the money and trouble for the interests of an engineer looking to go into management? Would an MBA from a CSU program be reasonable for getting into a management position with one of the major aerospace manufacturers? Are there other schools that I have not mentioned that are worth applying to?
