Option B corrects both the parallelism error present in the original sentence and also removes the incorrect pronoun "they", which doesn't have a proper antecedent.

It also conveys the meaning of the sentence clearly.

Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, they are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease.

(A) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, they are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. Two independent clauses cannot be joined using a coma.

(B) Many people who contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. Correct Choice. This is a complete sentence, using a relative clause in between the main clause.


(C) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, and we are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. The use of we is incorrect here and it cannot reference the many people.


(D) Many people who contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one are unaware of both the large initial payment that are required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. The use of are is incorrect here. since the subject initial payment is singular, it requires singular verb 'is'.



(E) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, since they are unaware of either the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. The correct idiom is Either..Or. The use of Either..And is incorrect here.

(C) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, and we are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. (Usage of we is wrong)
(D) Many people who contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one are unaware of both the large initial payment that are required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. (Usage of are is wrong because payment is singular)
(E) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, since they are unaware of either the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease. (Either..Or is the correct form)

(C) Many people contemplate leasing a car instead of buying one, and we are unaware of both the large initial payment that is required and the possibility of another sizeable payment due at the end of the lease.
