Hi
AdmissionadoI'm a Danish medical doctor who's planning to do an MBA within the next 5 years. Harvard Busines School is the goal. Currently studying for the GMAT and starting residency in September this year. Have consulting interviews lined up at MBB.
Demographic: EU white male, 25 YO.
Education: Medical doctor from University of Copenhagen. Bachelor GPA of 3.58 and Master GPA of 3.73 (converted to the US scale). 5 elective courses in finance, micro- and macroeconomics, business ethics and game theory at Copenhagen Business School and Harvard University.
Work experience:
1 year and 9 months as a Junior Analyst in a leading biotech venture capital fund. 20 hours / week next to medical school.
10 months Pregraduate Research Scholar. Full-time gap year between the Bachelor and Master half of med school.
10 months as a Student Assistant in Medical Affairs and Safety at a major pharmaceutical company. 15 hours / week next to medical school.
Academic experience:
Co-authorship on 3 scientific publications.
Extracurricular experience:
Co-founded and served as Chairman in a student organization for medical students with interest in alternative career paths. The organization is still active today and is lead by the 4th generation of team members.
My question is: Given my background as an MD with relevant work experience during med school, what GMAT score should I aim for to have a realistic shot at getting into HBS?
