My First GMAT Experience

I've been inspired by all the 700 scorers, who made me confident that I can give GMAT.
So this post is to thank them too
I started preparing in June
Had a few months gap and then decided to prepare hardcore from January two years later
I made several plans and tried many things during my preparation and decided to end my misery in May, the same year
As for my exam
I was the only person in the centre that day, not many people give exam in may, I guess
I sat in the lobby as I had arrived an hour early, better safe than sorry, right?
I was handed a rule booklet that I was asked to read and sign while I sit
I was super nervous, my heart was rushing, and I said to myself, "It's not the time, calm down"
A palm vein scanner took the scan of my palm vein about a lot of times
There was a digital signature pad but you can't see what you signed so be careful if you life the hand at a point
and in the end they took a crappy pic of me and my finger prints, call it my first GMAT mug shot lol
When I entered the room, I was in full on panic mode
Why??
Because I couldn't see a full time MBA option in the schools I was typing out
So I just rushed and filled anything that came into my head and then proceeded
Verbal first
Head strong and confident in verbal, I went in and started, apparently, I started out slow and wasted a lot of time in some questions, which cost me in the end, when I had to rush through the RC in the end, there almost always is an RC after question 29, so make sure you got at least 11 mins left
Quant next
Slow and steady doesn't win the race, I made a bigger mistake in verifying all the answers in DS, got creative and ended up marking last 5 answers without seeing the questions, yes, I was out of time.
IR
Knowing that I managed to screw up in quant, I decided to just end it, coz I have to get another attempt
AWA
I like this section so I gave it my 100%
Test day was bad for me or may be good, I donot know
What I do know is that I should've kept my cool.. and tried to skip atleaast 2 questions in the middle that could have gotten me some time
Hope my experience helps others about to give GMAT
