Hi everyone,
I began studying for GMAT from June 1st, I plan to give it around mid-August. So far I've used
OG and Kaplan Premier. I'm through about 1/2 of
OG practice questions and most of Kaplan.
I have the following materials
Had since June 1st
----------------------
OG 11th edition
Kaplan Premier
Past GMAT retired paper tests
Got them today (June 20th)
------------------
OG verbal review and quantitative review
Kaplan 800
MGMAT all books except RC
Princeton Review GMAT 2007
An advanced guide (veritas) for statistics and probability
GMAT club challenges - all
I gave a couple of full length tests when I started, just to gauge my level (620 GMATPrep1, 650 and 670 in 2 paper tests). Since then, I've focused exclusively on strengthening weaker areas, participating in this great place and doing timed portions of practise questions. (Yesterday did Q21-50 from Kaplan premier DS, got 28/30, so a little pleased at myself)
Now that I have the rest, my idea is
a) Study all the preparatory materials from
MGMAT, Princeton, KAPLAN Veritas etc. Do the practice questions
b)Start taking all the tests one by one, focusing on re-learning weak areas after each one.
I want to keep the gmatprep test2 and princeton tests for end, because I get a feeling from all the feedback here that they are the best indicators of preparation. I want to plough through the harder ones first. Perhaps in this order
-Kaplan tests
-
MGMAT tests
-remaining Paper tests
-Princeton
and then GMATPrep2.
I don't typically spend several days on one topic alone (like quant), I do a roundrobin everyday and cover many topics at a time.
All your opinions, criticism, feedback appreciated. I'm hoping to get a 680 at least to have a reasonable shot at applying to one of the top 1 year programs...
