I have been noticing a slightly higher number of SC and RC questions on the verbal section compared to the number of CR questions.

Is this always the case? Does anyone have exact data of the number of questions by question type?

Data regarding Quant would be helpful too.

Thank you!

Hi smlprkh,

Since the GMAT is adaptive, you can't expect an exact number of each question type on Test Day. However, the data presented by GMAC does provide a reasonable expectation of what you'll see on Test Day:

Reading Comp: 13-14 questions (over 4 passages
Sentence Corrections: 12-13 questions
Critical Reasoning: 9-10 questions

Problem Solving: 17-18 questions
Data Sufficiency: 13-14 questions

Yes, your GMAT is very likely to have fewer CR questions than either SC or RC questions. There will be a little bit of variation though: the GMAT includes experimental questions, and the distribution of those questions can change.
