Of all of the apples inspected last week at a certain orchard, 4.5 percent failed to pass inspection. Of the apples that failed inspection, 2/3 of them were rotten and the rest was unmatured. If all of the apples that were rotten or unmatured failed inspection, how many of apples inspected last week at the plant were unmatured?

(1) 450 of apples inspected last week at the orchard failed to pass inspection.
(2) 9,550 of apples inspected last week at the orchard passed inspection.

For simplicity, I assume that 30% of apples (not 4.5%) that were inspected failed to pass the test. Since exact amount is not a case in DATA SUFFICIENCY, some flexibile percentage can be assumed. I hope expert will make comment on my approach.

Total apple inspected =100x
Failed to pass =100x*30%=30x
Passed the test=100x-30x=70x

Rotten=30x*(2/3)=20x
Unmatured=30x-20x=10x

Question: 10x=?
Because if I have the value of x, I can easily find out the value of 10x.

Statement 1: 30x=450
From here, I can easily find out the value of x.

Statement 2: 70x=9550
From here, I can easily find out the value of x.
