This makes it ideal for anyone planning to download and use a variety of applications. However, the baseline phone's memory will fill quickly; we do not recommend purchasing this phone without also purchasing an additional memory card.

Hi Sajjad! Is it possible for you to provide explanation for question 2?

No information about advertising or marketing is given in the question, also none of the stats suggest anything about advertising.

Answer: Would not help explain.

Phone: Chieftain: Price = 450 and critical rating = 4.3 (Although price is higher than Radical, it still has a better rating than that)

Phone: Estrella: Price = 500 and critical rating = 3.9

Phone: Radical: Price = 250 and critical rating = 3.7 (Although price is lower than Chieftain still has a lower rating than that)

Hence it does not matter for critics.

Answer: Would help explain.

Radical is heaviest in weight and also cheapest in price.

Answer: Would help explain.

Hi Sajjad1994, please share the answer to question 3

Answer to question 3 is D.

The Phone with the smallest screen is Shieftain. It received an average critical rating of 4.3. See tab 1. The question provides the total number of ratings, which is 40. Hence sum of ratings is 4.3*40=172. To get a minimum of 4.5 rating this phone needs 16 more ratings of 5, which will equal 5*16=80. The previous sum is 172, the new sum will equal 80, and total sum will equal to 172+80=252 and the number of ratings will equal to 252/(40+16) = 4.5 average rating.

Answer: D

It can be solved in two ways.

1. Algebraic approach
2. Arithmetic approach

I am not good at algebra (the fastest approach, I think), so I tested the answer choices, and we usually start from option B or D while testing answer choices.

Explanation

1. For each of the following statements, indicate yes if the statement can be reasonably inferred from the tabbed reviews. Otherwise, indicate no.

Difficulty Level: Hard

Explanation

Statement 1: This statement is talking about "Estrella" with 350$ of discount. And it has 2 gigabytes of memory, the greatest among the three. Hence, the answer is Yes.

Statement 2: See all three tabs and the maximum ratio of front camera to back camera screen in pixels is 1.5 to 8, which is less than 20%, Hence, the answer is Yes.

Statement 3: It is evident that the descriptive information (other than in tabular form) tells us that the reviewers have considered factors other than those in the tables when writing their reviews. Hence, the answer is Yes.

Phone with smallest screen is chieftain , which has an average critical rating of 4.3 ==> Total sum of ratings = 4.3*40 =172
Say, x be the no. of 5 star ratings required to improve its average critical rating to 4.5

This can be expressed as:
\(\frac{172 + 5*x}{40 + x}\) = 4.5
Solve for x ==> x = 16

Hello,

For question 2 Statement 2:
The statement says rating is not 'influenced'. It does not say that rating is lower for expensive phones. So we need to see whether any correlation (+ve or -ve) exists between price and rating.
If we see Prices with and without contract it seems a positive correlation.
So I marked "Would not help"

Could you please help me where I went wrong?
