I think you're divulging too deep into this idea. The key here is to note that as you progress on OG problems, the problems will become more difficult. If you are able to solve the problem is about the same amount of time and with the same consistency from problem 1 to problem 150, then you are doing very well on that topic (verbal or quant or both)

You should use practice tests to gauge your progress. Working against a fixed time table always makes the situation much more difficult.
