Hi Greenaok

Unfortunately, I got dinged from SBS. I think, it was because of letha combination of IT+Indian+Male background :-D

I think my profile was v good, but a moderate GMAT score .

Any way, still little bit hopeful for Cambridge R4

Congrates to those who got invite, and good luck to R4 Cam applicants

Cheers

Thanks for the warm wishes guys. Just logged on now to check on Cambridge, but no email yet.

I have my interview later today actually. Does anyone have a link to what sort of questions Oxford asks, as I am racing the clock to Johannesburg right now to get to a land line before my scheduled time and it is difficult to browse the internet as a result.

Hi Bokke,

Oxford interview questions can be quite random depending on who the interviewer is. Although I'd go over the usual Why Oxford? Why Now? How are you unique sort of questions.

goodluck,

Bokke - well, I was late to give any advice to you… But basically Buffdaddy already said about two the most important questions. I hope it went well!

Gati – sorry to hear about the result. I guess the fact that you applied in later rounds contributed too... Wish you luck for your other schools!

And please, let us know about Cambridge results when you get them…

Thanks Greenoak!
I heard from 2009 Oxford pass out that the oxford ad-coms really like to see students with an enterpreneurial bent and guess i did not have enough of that in my essays!
Plus i was always on the shorter side of the average exp threshold.
Nyways Im planning to Apply to other european schools for R1 next year.
Best of Luck to you guys!

Congrats, Bokke! Now, you only need to hear from Cambridge and do them both :)

Prasun - sorry to hear about the result. Yes, none of the Oxbridge schools give feedback, and it's very often hard to understand what exactly they didn't like in your profile. But good luck for your next app!

Hey volks,

What is going on overhere? I've been a little inactive in this forum, but I used to follow your discussion. It seems that Gclub will be very well represented in Oxford, but Cambridge... ehh, what can I say...

I made the deceison to attend Wharton this fall, but I still haven't withdraw my application from Judge. I'm going to do that next week probably, I'm just waiting official papers from Philadelphia (hard copies of the documents I already received by mail).

I was waiting for some GMAT clubber to pass my Cambridge buton to. It seems Bokke was the most serious candidate for that, but I haven't seen him overhere reccently :)

Re: Oxbridge 2009 applicants [#permalink]
Hi Pathfinder,

Well, Cambridge apparently did not behave well this application season, and so was deprived of the privilege of having us good gmatclubbers on board :) Their last interview day is in June, however - so, maybe, somebody is still going to be interviewed (Bokke?)

Also, I believe there’s a new wave of applicants on the way – it’s only several months till the R1 for the 2010-2011 class; and so the task of curing this Ox/Cam imbalance will be theirs.

Congrats again with your Wharton success! Pity that we won’t have you in the UK this year, but we won’t be such egoists as to blame you for this decision

BTW, haven’t you promised me a PM?

Yes, I forgot they have 4th round... OK, than I assume it wouldn't be problem for them if I withdraw my app in two weeks or something like that. I have to receive hard copy of I-20 and other matriculation documents, which I already received by e-mail. Than I would have been confident enough to say I am going to Philadelphia definitely and to say "thanks, but no thanks" to Judge.

It's really shame I won't be with magnificent GMATclub crew in UK this fall, I hope there will be some trips available (official or unofficial). That way I could join your Gclub meeting in some London club, we'll see...

Sorry for PM, I'm sending it as soon as I have some more details.
