My friend, I have sympathy for you. I am fortunate to be a native English speaker, and I am well aware that English is an incredibly difficult language to learn.
If you can memorize the entire idiom list that
MGMAT has, that would be absolutely wonderful. I would also say --- and I realize this is very hard medicine --- READ ENGLISH every day. Read high level English --- the
Economist Magazine, the
New York Times, the
Wall Street Journal, etc. etc. Force yourself to read English, so you see the idioms at work, in context. Ultimately, that is the way to develop mastery.
