Answer is B, because the second part of the setence was missing a verb. You need to add a verb that is parallel to "caring" and you have the answer.

My answer is B also. Although I see nothing wrong with C.


C can't be the answer because it violates the integrity of the sentence. "Chid care" sounds like action noun or place where men spent more hours. So that's another thing wrong with it.

caring and doing are in parallel action.

B is clean.
