IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES. KAPLAN'S PEOPLE ARE NO GODS. NEITHER ARE WE.

I got C too.

I think kaplan got it wrong !

Thanks
Praetorian

mistake:
x^2 = x/27 therefore x = 27

actually:
x = 1/27

I do agree with wonder_gmat.

Why do we need (2) if statement (1) gives us a clear and unambiguous answer that x=1/27

Or, maybe, we (me and wonder_gmat) read the question incorrectly?

yes, I mismatched 27 and 1/27, but the answer stays the same C.

(1) X=0 or X=1/27. You cannot simply ignore 0. NOT SUFF
(2) not suff again

combine: a zero is out, leaving a unique 1/27.

Therefore, it cannot be A. It is C.

stolyar

You've convinced me :beer

I agree with you that the x can be 0 but the answer is extremelly implicit.

I hate those kind of questions :arh . Kaplan and ETC are guileful!
