Can you elaborate please? And also provide context (Your B-school experience etc)

The article has put a dampener on my efforts.

Thanks in advance for your time.

His tone indicates that he has a pessimistic personality(maybe he had a difficult time) and will doubt every word he has to say.
There may be some truth in what the OP has to say, especially regarding cultural assimilation. The rest appears BS to me.

Pointing the flaws in his argument:

1.) Only 5 international out of class of 85 managed to stay in US in the long term. Duke Adcom clearly said to me that very few international MBAs ever return back. My 1st hand information says that 9/10 who wanted to stay in US, have stayed in US and I am talking about schools such as Purdue and NOT the Ivy League. Whether they have the green card is another question ? Either his experience is misjudged or its an outlier i.e. his class graduated in deep recession etc.

2.) Getting married to US citizen to get a Green Card - 1st time have heard this stupid advice. Clearly the goal of OP was to settle in US.
This may not be the case for everyone. With emerging economies booming there is no reason to spend your high 40s and 50s in US.

I will edit/add details my post in a day or two.
