Background verification

Hey,
I recently got an admit to a good B-school. I then got to know about the background verification process.
I knew I had not intentionally made any wrong statements, but on going through my application, I realize that I had put Bachelor of Engineering instead of Bachelor of Technology in my undergraduate details. My transcript says Bachelor of Technology so I wonder how serious this mistake would be. Any ideas?

Congratulations!
The issue may come up on the check but I think it will be OK. However, it is an odd mistake in AdCom's view - why would you not know what your undergrad degree was. I would probably have a good answer why that ended up being the case. I doubt that you will be dinged or disqualified due to a self-reported degree designation, esp since the two are pretty close.

Yes this is more of an odd mistake but it happens I actually remember when i applied to school I was a little confused on whether I had a BBA or something else. Ultimately this is fairly immaterial and if you are a qualified candidate should not preclude you from admission. Have a response ready should they reach out for clarification.
