short term goal wud be to earn and pay off my loan. after having worked for 5-6 yrs i would like to return to india and start something of my own.

mba now??? cos i think i have already understood the need of an mba in my career and i think i belong to the industry as a manager rather than as a technical soft engg. and i dont want to keep dragging myself in a role i am not comfortable in

please suggest

As usual, I cannot really tell you where you should apply but I can suggest some places to look:

Among the Near Elite Frontier take a look at Iowa, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Among the Near Elites, take a close look a Indiana and perhaps Georgetown

Among the Trans Elite consider USC and perhaps Carnegie Mellon.

Among the Elites take a close look at UCLA

Many Ultra Elites take a positive view of younger applicants but are difficult places to gain admission for virtually everyone. There are many choices here including Stanford, Chicago, Harvard, and Penn/Wharton.

Porscheboy is right- "Penn" refers to the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton
