Hi Puneet Gupta,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so the fact that you've been studying for just 2 weeks means that you will likely continue to improve as you continue to study. Raising a 570 to a 700+ will require that you make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections - and that work will likely take at least another 2-3 months of consistent, guided study. With a planned December Test Date, you've given yourself plenty of time to study - which is good. You will likely need more than just a book (or books) to raise your Verbal Score to the desired level though, so you might want to look into some non-book study materials.

1) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Monday - Saturday :I have targeted for 3.5 hrs / day of study
Additionally, I have 2 hrs./ day available during travelling to office, for learning through videos or e book.

Sundays : minimum 10 hrs..

For contingency , I can take leaves to catch up for any inefficiency or overtime at work .

Take it as 30 hrs/week for study.

I have already started Manhattan SC and targeting to complete it by 10-8-17

Thanks , looking forward for your reply.

Hi Puneet Gupta,

Since you have so much time before you plan to take the Official GMAT in December, you can afford to 'play around' with your study approach a bit (if you choose). Studying 30 hours each week might be too much though (we don't want you to 'burn out' during your studies) - so you will have to keep tabs on how you're feeling (and potentially reduce your weekly hours). I still suspect that you would benefit a great deal by investing in a GMAT Course of some type, but you don't have to decide on that just yet.

Thanks Rich Cohen for the reply.

30 hrs / week is my idealistic Target. I will ensure that I am not burnt out.

It would be great if you can recommend me some books/ Approach to improve my verbal ability.

As far as now I my planning to complete theses books:

SC : Manhattan GMAT. (Study Ongoing) , After Completing I will practice OG Questions to check the improvement.
CR : Powerscore
RC : I have not figure out it yet.

Kindly advise

Hi Puneet Gupta,

You have some study materials already, so it would make sense for you to work through those Verbal materials - and we can see how they help you to improve. Once you're done with that practice, you should plan to take a NEW, FULL-LENGTH CAT. Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.
