I agree, Skywalker!!! But, the major issue is that the new policy effective December 17, 2016, has been applied to attempts prior to that date, this is not good.Definitely, such a blunder is not expected from a big organisation like GMAC!
As a genuine test taker, you should be able to get an additional attempt (or multiple attempts). Have you tried reaching out to them? But yes, it is surprising that they decided to count earlier attempts as well.

I totally agree with your opinion. With my sincere heart, I requested GMAC one more time to take the test: I took 5 times attempts prior to the life time limit. But they denied without any legitimate explanation or reason. They just said that it was in accordace with GMAC's review and replied to me the same thing. What a irresponsible it is. If they wanted to justify their policy, they should have notified at least one year before the new policy or have not retroactively applied it.

I think that there are many genuine candidates like me damaged by this policy. But GMAC just tries oppressing over powerless and honest test-takers who already took many times before the life time limit. GMAC needs to show us a justice and revise the recent movement, preventing the dream of genuine candidate from devastated.
