Hi, I'm new here
I'm thinking of pursuing the part time MBA at Marshall (probably for Fall 2019) and came across this forum while doing some googling about it. I'm completely new to the application process for any MBA programs. I saw that Marshall's MBA has several different rounds of applications. Does applying for an earlier round give you any advantage?
Hi
agora, yes, the common rule for MBA admissions is the early bird gets the worm - apply as early as possible, but do not sacrifice application quality. That is the most important thing (however odds drop off so much in Round 3 - that is a balancing act.) I have to say I dont have particular insight on acceptance rates per round for Marshall part-time. Often what happens with PT applicants is they look at room available after all the FT applicants are situated - so in a nutshell, timing matters less than it goes for FT. That said, when there are most seats available you have a better chance at getting one so don't delay. I also recommend diversifying a bit, UCLA as a stretch, Irvine as a safety, and maybe even consider applying to the Ross EMBA program in LA.
