thanks for all the kind wishes.
A lil' abt myself:
Just another Indian techy in bay area, 27, six yrs of experience, I started preparing seriously around 1.5 months back (btw. my wife used this login id prev. in 2005, and scored a 720. right now, she is admitted to haas UC berkeley part time MBA programme and will start her classes from aug.),
Used
OG 10,
MGMAT tests,
MGMAT SC book and GMAprep tests .. GMATprep has really interesting quant questions.. I would recommend the retakes as many times as possible. I retook just hte quant section twice (total of 4), and could see a lot many new questions.
MGMAT tests were good too. Also found
MGMAT SC book useful. It was helpful in clearing few of my doubts. Finally, not to miss the GMATclub members contributions .. I spent a lot of time on quantitative forum actively .. Kevin's questions are real teasers and may help one sharpen his/her greycells. Verbal forum is excellent, and I could get lot of my doubts cleared from the forum.
Test day:
Was a lil' nervous before the exam. AWA was ok. Started quant, and was spending a lot more time than normally reqd. on initial few questions. Questions were quite similar to GMATprep. some of them were really tricky. I was able to imagine that I was doing well, as the level got higher and higher.. Was able to finish the section with few minutes to spare. took a break for few mins, washed my face and back for the verbal .. Got stuck in the 2nd quetion (was a CR)..spent arnd 4 mins on that question.. still wasnt sure if that was correct.. Again, got stuck on SC, again spent 3-4 mins on that question.. really tried to concentrate on initial few questions.. wasnt really sure how the test was going.. no boldface CRs made me wonder if I had screwedup the exam.. RCs were simple. CRs were a bit trcky as compared to GMATprep simulation ... Finally, exam got over, and felt nervous looking for the score.. relaxed and excited on seeing 760.
One suggestion that the proctor gave me was dont keep the marker open for too long, otherwise that will dry up soon. I asked her for 2 markers before the exam, but she refused and told me the tip. I used the marker carefully, and could work with it without requiring anohter one
Thanks to all of you again. Please let me know, if theres any specific question...
