8m square is cut off from each corner, then the length = 48-8-8 = 32m
Breadth = 36-8-8 = 20m
Height = 8m

Area = 8*20*32 = 5120

D is the answer.

Can you please explain me how the height is 8 m???? I didnot understand this part

Kudos
When you fold the rectangular sheet to make a box, the corner you have cut will become the height. Write down and you can see for yourself.

Since , a square of 8 is cut off from the corners. So, the open box becomes a cuboid of length (48 - 2*8) and breadth (36- 2*8 ) and height 8

length = 32 m, breadth = 16 m and height = 8 m, Therefore Volume of cuboid = l*b*h = 32*16*8 = 5120m cube.
