Nice. Like all the new updates. Especially the timer!

One thing comes to mind: when the user is at the home screen, two back clicks should allow the user to exit the app instead of giving a pop-up to confirm.

Great job, guys! Kudos!

You have a few options:

1. Turn all notifications off as a part of the Android settings for the app.
2. If you want to selectively turn them on/off, then you have to turn off "follow" notifications on GMAT Club (that's what I did) here: https://gmatclub.com/forum/ucp.php?i=pr ... e_settings

Hi. It took us a bit of time but i wanted to update you that there is now a way to turn off many of the notifications and potentially turn off Sounds for notifications in your notifications preferences:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ucp.php?i=pr ... e_settings

(To get here, click on your Profile/Avatar in the upper right hand corner, and choose Notification Settings)

Thanks!
BB.

Awesome Android App Update:

App Updated on 10/30/2019

  • Added ability to Download Attachments (such as PDF or Word or Zip files).
Attachments will be placed in your "Downloads" or Download Manager on your Android Phone. (e.g. if you download a PDF, it will be saved; it won't open in the App but you can click in the notifications to go to the Download manager and open it there)
  • Google Login - you can now sign up with Google and also Login with Google on the GMAT Club Android App (FB login is temporarily disabled for new users; existing users should not be affected; should be back up and running for new sign ups within a few days as FB reviews our app)
  • New Search Functionality
  • Decision Tracker Link Added to the "Hamburger" Menu
  • Added a nice splashscreen during App Launch

Great initiatives especially the pdf downloading and the decision tracker.

BTW, when will these cool facilities be available for iPhone/IPad users?

These features are already available for iPhone users. This has been including in the basic list of features for a while. PDF and other DOC files open directly in the App.
There is a link to the Decision Tracker from the "more" menu.

Let me know if something is not right.

Thanks!

Hi, BB,

Great App but I am having suggestion regarding inclusion of provision to add compulsory official explanation for posting of questions in the GMAT forum. I've found many questions whose explanation (OE) is not given by experts or moderators. To get maximum while practicing from forum, OE or explanation from experts or moderators will be immensely helpful to all users.

HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONCERN AND YOU WILL TAKE NECESSARY ACTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Wrong topic/wrote place.

But I did not want to leave your topic and question not addressed. I wanted to let you know that we have started working on your suggestion with 4 of the key experts working around the clock getting paid a respectable instructor rate of $100/hour. We have over 100,000 questions and it takes about half an hour to write a great explanation, so with 4 Experts working 8-hour days that will cost approximately $50,000,000, which we are very close to securing specifically for your request. Once that's done, we will start the work right away and should be done in 1,562 days or I suspect by January 2024. Please check back then.
