Hi All,
I'm working as a product manager with a startup and have close to 4 yrs of work ex. I've done B.Tech and M.Tech. I'm considering taking GMAT next yr and applying for an EMBA program from a school like NUS or INSEAD. The main reason I want to go for an EMBA is entrepreneurship.
However, I'm really unsure of how this fits in my broader plan. Looking for guidance.
Hello thelady02,
The journey to becoming an entrepreneur is an exciting one. An entrepreneur needs commitment and perseverance to turn the idea into success. There are, however, a few elements to success:-
1. First and foremost, an idea that solves a customer's pain points
2. Tangible resources in the form of access to funds to validate your business model and scale it, and also contingency funds
3. A strong network
An MBA can typically give you access to #3, while also building your credibility to get access to #2. And of course, the learning in an EMBA class may help you further shape your ideas.
If you feel you can get one or more of the above benefits from pursing an EMBA, its worth considering.
Cheers!
