Online GMAT crashed... now what?

Attempted to take the online GMAT today. Systems Test worked fine and check-in went smoothly but when the test portal launched, my computer (2020 Macbook Air) froze... After waiting ~10-15 minutes, I restarted the portal but it said a proctor had already closed my test. I contacted Pearson VUE and they submitted a case which should take 3-5 business days to process.
Wondering what I should do now. Feels like I'm asking for trouble by trying to take it again on the same computer once I'm allowed to reschedule, so does it make more sense to find a better computer to take it on, or should I just plan to take it in person instead? Or both?? I haven't practiced the essay or using the official GMAT scratch paper, so I'm not sure how long it would take me to feel prepared for the in-person test.
Any and all input/advice would be greatly appreciated!
