Hi Prithvi08,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. This Official Score is similar to the CAT/mock results that you reported in the first few months of this year, so it's possible that you developed some 'bad habits' during your earlier studies that are keeping you from scoring higher. Since it's been almost 4 months since we discussed your studies, before we discuss any of those potential issues, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been preparing during that time.

1) Over the last 4 months, what type of study routine have you been following? How many hours did you typically study each week?
2) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) Did you take the Official GMAT at a Test Center or through the At-home option?

Try Target test prep for Quant.
Gmatwhiz should be sufficient for Verbal.

Hi Prithvi08,

If you are looking for additional resources, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

Also, would you like some general advice on how to improve your verbal and quant skills?

You also may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Prithvi08

TTP Quant and Verbal will do the trick. Q44 - Q49 (basic good score) will take a lot of training and you should definitely check them out!

Cheers!
