Hi
desiapplicant28, thanks for reaching out for a profile evaluation. Academically, you've got a great GMAT and presumably a strong GPA too. From a work perspective, I think your profile is strong too. Of course, the MBB background is not the most unique, but it's for sure a strong one, and I especially like that you developed a sector specialty and then dove further into that through VC work. There aren't as many MBA applicants with pre-MBA VC backgrounds so that should help your chances. Your years of work experience makes now a great time to apply too. Sounds like your ECs are pretty strong too. Although the startup mentoring connects to your work, I think it will still be valuable to show leadership, networking skills, and giving back to the startup community. Re. HSW, those are the toughest b-schools in the world, but I do think you have a shot if you execute strong applications and are able to hone in on how your perspective will enrich the program and the experience of your classmates, especially at Wharton. Your letters of recommendation will matter a lot too. Good luck and let us know if we can help you further!
Best,
Kate
