When essential workers like nurses transport staff or paramedics go on strike, it is not only dangerous but ineffective. Theses strikes put people's lives at risk, inconveniencing or endangering hundreds over the course of the strike. This is hardly likely to gain popular support for the cause of workers and hence serve no real purpose.
