Congratulations on your admits!
Sorry about the wait with the reply - been a busy morning with all the decisions.
As long as consulting companies hire on campus or have a pathway to recruit, it is not really critical if you go to one program or another.
Sometimes there are quotas (e.g. 10 from here and 20 from there) type of thing based on the program size and historical data that consulting companies track. There are also a few things to consider and evaluate as you evaluate your Consulting chances (e.g. do you have prior consulting experience? What makes you think you will get shortlisted for an interview? Not everyone who applies will be interviewed and out of those who do get it for an internship offer, only 20-30% will actually get an internship offer).
What I am hearing from you is you are giving a decent and sizeable preference for the location in Toronto. You have Rotman there too hunting for the same jobs and with similar demographics so location does not guarantee success either but makes it easier to attend coffee chats and lilkely brings more alums/recruiters on campus. I would chat with current students to understand how they are overcoming the logistical and recruiting challenge. Have you checked the Ivey reviews by the way? They are a bit dated at this point but quite helpful still:

bb, I appreciate your response (forgive me if reply isn't as objective. At this point, I might be bending towards McGill and just seeking validation)
1. I do not have prior consulting experience other than a fellowship I did part time, but I work at a big 4 (not consulting) so it would be more of a functional pivot for me than a complete switch. I have seen and spoken to people with the same/similar profile as mine make the switch to big 4 consulting (from both Schulich and McGill) so there is hope! Of course, I understand that nothing is guaranteed and the odds will be stacked against me.
2. McGill Alumns tell me that it can be a slight hurdle to not be in Toronto but definitely not a make or break as most things start/happen virtually. Of course, sometimes you'd have to Travel but overall not that big a deal.
3. Ivey is great for consulting and I will be applying for their January'24 intake (hoping that I have an answer by Jan'23 since they have rolling admissions), but I'm a bit concerned about their program being 1 year, which would only get me a 1 year work permit (a daunting thing as an international compared to a 3 year work permit with McGill/Schulich- though most people work their way around it or at least that is what I hear). I'm currently not evaluating IVEY - perhaps future me can worry about it.
