The number 123,k50 is a 6-digit integer, where k is a hundreds digit. Which of the following cannot be a factor of 123,k50?
A. 2
B. 3
C. 4
D. 5
E. 6
If we observe the options carefully, divisibility of 4 rule says that the sum of last two digit of the number must be divisible by 4. But 50 is not divisible by 4. So C is the answer.
- A and D can be ruled out as the given number is divisible by both 2 and 5.
- B and E can't be checked without knowing the value of k.
Answer C
A. 2
B. 3
C. 4
D. 5
E. 6

We know a number is divisible by 4, when the last two digits are divisible by 4. So, since 50/4 is not an integer, 4 cannot be a factor of 123,k50.
Answer: C
