Interior decorator: All coffeehouses and restaurants are public places. Most well-designed public places feature artwork. But if a public place is uncomfortable it is not well designed, and all comfortable public places have spacious interiors.
If all of the interior decorator’s statements are true, then which one of the following must be true?
(A) Any restaurant that has a spacious interior is comfortable.
(B) Most public places that feature artwork are well designed.
(C) Most coffeehouses that are well designed feature artwork.
(D) Any well-designed coffeehouse or restaurant has a spacious interior.
(E) Any coffeehouse that has a spacious interior is a well-designed public place.
I interpreted this question in the following way :
Public places (coffeehouses and restaurants) > not all public places are C & Rs. so things inside () are subsets of the first thing.
Well-designed PP (Has Artwork)>> Well designed PPs has artwork, but any place with artwork may or may not be well designed. So B is out. C is out of scope too as it states a correlation which is not described here.
Uncomfortable PP (Not Well designed) or comfortable pp (well-designed)
Comfortable PP (Spacious interiors)> Comfortable public places obviously has spacious interiors. But any place with spacious interior is not necessarily comfortable. This eliminates A.
D and E state an indirect correlation between well designed pps and spacious interiors. From the () list we can say, to be spacious is mandatory for being a comfortable places and a comfortable place is well-designed. So, a well designed place also has spacious interior, that makes D the CA.
